The idea is called calorie pulse which means how your body eat more calories only after your workout. Your body will have an easier time handling calories in the moments following your mma conditioning workout. When I teach people how to build muscle I always encourage them to consume high amounts of calories after their workout. People are lead to believe that calories all act the same in the body which is not true each food group acts differently after it is digested and gives the body different minerals.
