ABUS UK is aware that the almost 50% RRP increases it has applied to APf oval and night-latch cylinders may leave some of it’s loyal APf distributors wondering how to justify these specific increases to their customers.
In recognition of successful past specification of APf oval and night-latch cylinders, and to help ease the initial impact of the price rise, ABUS UK will commit to honouring its 2009 prices for oval and night-latch cylinders plus a 10% surcharge, provided the distributor has a proven need for their further use in existing customer contracts. This support will run until the end of 2011. ABUS UK’s MD Nick Venderhoest says: “The specific decision to raise the price of our oval and night-latch cylinders was taken in good faith based on commercial factors.”
