Purchasing a car or truck is an enjoyable experience It is not important if you’re a student and walking from one pre-owned car lot to the next, searching for that one of a kind typical student vehicle to enhance your unique fashion and attitude or if you are a profitable business person only exploring car dealerships with the most pricey luxury vehicles, it remains a fantastic purchase
The traffic on our roads is growing on a daily basis. In the majority of families both mom and dad are now trying to make a living, and since the places of work are often far apart, there are now 2 cars on the road for each family, where the norm was one breadwinner and for that reason one car a couple of years ago. Even some students now have their own motorbikes or entry level cars – with both dad and mom working they still must find a way to get to school and back and to afterschool activities etc. Add to that the volume of college and university students on the roads, mothers dropping their kids of at school and huge delivery trucks transporting goods and food from warehouses to shops and you have traffic quantities to take note of
Government is trying their very best to maintain the highways and build new streets to cater for this increasing demand while car dealerships are being built on busy street corners faster than you can say “please decrease the toll fees” While there are certain things that can be done to limit the number of cars on the roads, these plans and actions are unfortunately not functional for all. Let’s use the Gautrain in South Africa for example. This new addition to Gauteng is a real practical wonder but only for some While the train services a few the key routes and feeder busses transport travellers from stations to nearby workplaces and restaurants, the service is still restricted to people working and heading for outlying areas.
Another example in South Africa was the Government’s idea to introduce lanes on the road especially for cars with two or more individuals. The thought behind this was to persuade folks to form lift clubs so that they can take advantage of these special lanes, but once again, this is just not practical for all Can you imagine two sales representatives having to share a vehicle? How on earth will they manage to attend their meetings? Noble concept, but no cigar
Some countries are more fortuitous with brilliant trains and buses infrastructures – the situation is then off course very different and the traffic volumes visibly lower. The reality is that with a lack of safe and efficient public transport, there is simply no other option – you have to get in your vehicle, by yourself, and travel to wherever you need to be. And for as long as that is the case, car dealerships countrywide will be smiling from ear to ear while selling the one luxury motor vehicle after the next.
