I stumbled upon this wonderful children game in the booth selling IQ games at Tesco 3 years ago. I used to be impressed due to innovative contents. Besides, children can enjoy on their own and checking their own answers. I still remember one of the puzzles showing the most notable view of your swimmer wearing a cap, along with the youngsters are asked to spot the respective side view from the swimmer. That will need a relatively good imagination from your children. However, the purchase price scared me off. Its a minimum of RM600 . The sales lady told me that game had more than 30 years history in Germany.
Okay, may very well not know very well what is this Luk and Bambino Luk, I have discovered a web site that demonstrates this. Investigate demonstration and you will understand why
BambinoLuk (2-4 yrs . old) : Introduction, Demonstration , Samples
MiniLuk (4-8 years): Introduction, Demonstration , Samples
(note: I tried to get from them in mid 2009 but appears to be they didnt sell outside US)
I do believe youll be impressed too studying the Samples and demonstration . I strongly think that by exposing the youngsters to the telltale games, were developing their intelligence, in terms of sequencing, imagination and association. You are able to tell that I am convinced i would buy, but forking out RM600 is very painful, especially at the stage that I not really know the kids like.
By the way, Im a huge fan of Dr Glenn Doman(proposed usage of flash cards) and Dr Howard Gardner(proposed Multiple Intelligence concept), I think that parents should stimulate children to consider and also to sharpen their brain because brain development happen at early childhood. Id finish reading their books years ago. Thats the main reason I was convinced quite easily.
It so happened that I had a short day at Germany inside the following month. Although not enough time, inside the available 2 hours, I was able to visit a bookstore to find out about this Luk system. Yes, the sales girl was right that it turned out popular in German for over thirty years. Id trouble to decide what things to purchase. Unlike other regions of the world, in Germany, the Luk system has a very wide varieties, and i also was selecting from an array of 50-100 books. All of them is about 5-7Euro. I purchased several books and a controller, amounting to RM200 with all the kind help from the Germany salesman translating to me. Thats 1/3 with the price when compared with a few things i saw.
My son had completed the many exercises with this bambinoLUK set. I desired to get more, but Some have any possibility to visit Germany i cannot afford an outing prefer that. I came across a toy shop in United Square Singapore located on the basement. The official website may be found here. My son had a chance to view it and tried out before I paid SGD100 for a set of 5 books. I knew in Germany and US, this would be cheaper but considering that there was an opportunity to try it out, I made the decision to cover. May be partly because the owner was very friendly and kind. Not surprisingly, I discovered later whos was sold cheaper, about 50 % of price in US. My pal experimented with invest in Amazon, but again, since not offered directly by Amazon, they didnt sell beyond US.
I also discovered a cheap version, bought from pasar malam. The controller looked nearly the same as the miniLuk system. It had been sold at cheaper price, but nevertheless at RM160! Though the quality had no match on the miniLuk system. Besides, Furthermore, i suspected that it will be pirated copy. Checking the contents, I came across that this Germany Intelligence hanging around didnt have. It appeared as if a compilation which contains a variety of subjects, without a key learning theme.
I introduced this glorious product to many people people. One friend found ways to do parallel imports. Their website is introducing the games at far more affordable price. The products are genuine top quality goods. You can visit the site G-minimall here. I had created obtained a couple more sets, which I could not find in Malaysia nor Singapore with their help.
I usually admire German engineers for their innovation and good engineering. I really believe IQ games this way have a role with this. I value innovation goods like this. But please do not get me wrong, I dont think that IQ games will make a child more clever and definitely you are unable to create a genius away from these. However the IQ games could make a youngster more intelligent in ways based on Dr Howard Gardner. However, its not commonly open to us….
